Thinking and reflecting out loud

Feeling a little concerned.

If the pace of my progress through the first book ‘setting up your EDC3100 digital tools’ this week is a guide of how I am going to manage the course load, I’m in some trouble. It has taken me most of the week to set up and understand diigo, feedly and blogging as its all new to me and I cant move on until I at least understanding a little about each program. I have a good understanding of basic technology applications, but it takes time, and time is never a friend of anyone’s once uni semester begins. I also decided to update my Mac software, due to discovering this week, how out of date my software was, which was working fine, and now performs much slower than before. My wonderful fiancé is working on improving it as I type (on his computer). Oh well, its all a learning curve that takes time and patience. On a more positive note, I know that this will be a course, which opens my eyes to lots of lovely new knowledge, and understanding that will benefit my personal and professional practices.

Introduction

Hi my name is Mandy Gaze and this is the first time I have ever used a blog. This will take some time to get my head around, I’m sure  🙂

I will be attempting to complete EDC1300 this semester as well as working part time in long day care (lead educator 2-3years) and staying enthusiastic with my biggest job of all: full time Mum to my beautiful 22month old toddler.

I hope I can find the time this semester to really engage with EDC1300 content?
